Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make EnVision EyeCare the leading provider of vision care products and services in Durango.


Dr. Gretchen Arneson

Dr. Arneson grew up in Northern Wisconsin, but early on she heard the call of the west. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University then returned to Madison, WI to work in higher education. Traveling to Malawi Africa, Honduras and the Dominican Republic doing vision service trips internationally inspired her to go back to school.  She completed her optometry degree in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry, but the west called her back!  She loves hiking, backpacking, skiing, biking and traveling.  Taking care of patients of all ages is her specialty and she is looking forward to taking care of you and your family!


Dr. Matthew Burgess

Dr. Burgess grew up in New Mexico and received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico. He obtained a degree in optometry from Pacific University and continued on to complete a residency in ocular disease at the VA Sierra Nevada in Reno, NV. Dr. Burgess loves the outdoors and likes to take advantage of it to ski, kiteboard, sail, water-ski and backpack.


Dr. Caitlin Campbell

Dr. Campbell is a native of Montana where she received her undergraduate degree in biology at Carroll College. She received her optometry degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. She then completed a residency in low vision and specialty contact lenses from University of California Berkeley.  She loves exploring the beauty of the southwest with her husband Dr. Matt Burgess during all of their many outdoor adventures.
